A brand whose entire value hangs on its origin owes you a face and an honest story. Here are both.
My name is Abdirahman Farah Duale. I founded Ceelfoox and run it currently on my own.
My roots are in the Cal Madow, in the Sanaag and Bari regions of Somalia. I fled from there as a child; I've lived in Germany since 2011, went to school here and now study business informatics.
My family still lives in the region to this day. Some harvest the frankincense themselves, as collectors on exactly the cliffs our oils will come from. This connection isn't marketing; it's the starting point of everything.
Why
This origin and exactly these three oils.
Boswellia frereana grows on a single mountain range on Earth. This place, this resin, exists nowhere else. What the region has lacked so far isn't the product; it's the refinement. Until now the resin leaves Somalia as raw material, and the real value is created elsewhere.
That is exactly what I want to turn around: not to export raw resin, but the finished, distilled oil, processed as close to the origin as possible. That creates work and prospects locally, in a region where young people in particular find few opportunities.

From the collector at the cliff to goods-in in Limburg, every station should be traceable and fair, with no middlemen diluting the price and obscuring the origin.
